True Spirit of Christmas
I just needed to share this with everyone. I know many people feel the commercial part of the Christmas holiday takes over and children and adults alike don't know the real meaning of the holiday. I have always grown up with Santa and my children do the same, it has been wonderful. But we still have taught the true meaning. As my children have gotten older there may be some questions but I still have taught them when you stop believing it is over. So we ALL believe!! But to my main reason for this posting...................I was wrapping gifts this evening and one gift I wrapped I was explaining to my children that we are not exchanging with the Davis family( we have agreed to spend and afternoon together at the movies and then out to eat as opposed to buying gifts for each other) but I had found something and wanted to get it. My sons reply "We already got the best Christmas present ever from them" (I figured I missed something). I asked what might that be? Brandon said "all we needed was for Conner to get better and he did" ( Conner was in the hospital with an infection which they really weren't sure what it was). He said that is the best gift ever, that Conner is alright. Well, I guess my kids do get it!!!! We make par take in the commercial part but I guess our teachings have sunk in and they do know the true meaning of Christmas!! If this wasn't good enough we have a child that we have kind of taken in. We try to look after him and give support when possible. Anyway he loves his drums and he wanted new sticks but knew that it probably wasn't going to happen. Nicole asked me the other day if we could get him those drum sticks for Christmas, that it would make him so happy. Well as you guessed I found my self in the music store purchasing those sticks, both of my children are so happy and proud that they can give them to him on Christmas Eve. I am really proud of both of my children and there generous giving. This is the true meaning of Christmas!! Merry Christmas Everyone!! P.S. I hope Santa finds ALL of you!

I never had a doubt that my grandchildren didn't know the meaning of Christmas. We have taught that from the time they were able to understand. I'm so proud of you!
I've just gotten to know your children this past year. Iknow there is kindness build inside of them. They may pick on me, but I know they respect me, and would do anything to help me. Your children are very good kids, and there parents are ok to, and even the parents of the parents are ok. It is so nice be friends as well as fellow campers with such nice people. We hope all your Christmas wishes came true.
