Another Snowy Day..................

Well as most of you know, we enjoyed yet another 3 day weekend due to snow. I don't think we will know how to act when we go to school a whole week. Now if you were my brother, who called me Friday morning to sing happy birthday and find out we had snow and no school. His comment was, "they made it a national holiday for your 40th birthday they even closed the schools" such a smarty pants. My Mom and Dad and good friend Dee had a surprise 40th party for me last weekend, yes I was surprised. It was so nice, there was about 30 people there. Oh the other lovely comment from my brother on Friday was "Oh we are on our way to Florida where it is 80 degrees." Yes this was when it was snowing pretty hard and very cold. I know I will get even with him sometime, just have to figure out when. I did have a good birthday though and did pretty much nothing just relaxed with the kids. What else is there to do on a snowing day but watch a movie. The high light of the evening was when we made homemade ice cream, might as well put that snow to some good use. It tasted wonderful. Yes, Mom and Dad we saved you some!! It has been a crazy weekend with the kids activities and today after church we have Chris, Uncle Dans surprise 85th birthday party to go to. Uncle Dan and I share a birthday, obviously he has had many more than me. Then it is home to finish the laundry and do any homework that isn't done. Looks like more snow and ice is coming our way Tuesday and Wednesday. Will Spring ever get here??????????

Brandons Day

Brandon went to Mifflinburg today to compete with TSA. He had made a bridge and took 4th place in that, unfortuantely they don't get ribbons for that. He was 2 seconds off from placing in the problem solving competition. Chris and Poppy went with him and supported him all day. He had a really good time. They did make it back in time for the play. Really proud of both of the kids, they work so hard and do such a good job in all they do.

More of the Play, Agetha Rex

Nicole really had a great time in the play and is kind of sad it is over already. For the two o'clock showing Nana and Grandma and myself enjoyed that. For the dessert theatre at 7pm, we were joined by Poppy, Nana, Janet Fisher, Mom and Dad, Brandon, Kalista, Hunter, Amber and Aunt Joan. The 7pm show was standing room only, the kids did a great job once again. I think Nicole is following her Uncle Scott and cousin Ambers footsteps. We have and actress in training!! Enjoy the little clip from the play.

Nicoles Night to Shine!!

Nicole was in the play Agetha Rex today. Due to the weather they were unable to have the showing last evening. They did the show twice today and did a great job. Enjoy the video!!! More videos and pictures to come.

Its a Beautiful Day in Pa.......If you are a school student

Here is the lovely weather in Bloomsburg. We had about 5 inches of snow Tuesday into Wednesday and then it was topped off with ice. As you can see in the pictures the ice is nice and shiny on top. We had an early dismissal on Tuesday and no school today. Hope everyone is staying warm, we are staying inside. Happy Valentine's Day, to all!

February Update..............

Well like Amber said our busy schedule makes the time fly, and she is soooooo right. Here we are in February already. Last weekend we enjoyed the county band performance and Brandon had a great time meeting new people. Now we are looking forward to the Middle school play, Agatha Rex. Nicole has been really enjoying practicing for it. We think we are prepared with her outfit, we did a Walmart run. Tickets go on sale next week. The play is Friday, Feb 22 (yes, my birthday) and Sat Feb 23rd both at 7pm. On Saturday they will have a dessert theather. Also on Saturday, Brandon will be competing with TSA in Mifflinburg. Oh yes, we hope to spread ourselves thin and be at all of it. Nicole has been busy with scouts too, this week they enjoy a pool party. As many of you know we have also been busy with fund raisers, hoagie sales, girl scout cookies and pizza sales. The pizza and hoagie sales have been for the band trip in April to Virginia. After the next hoagie sale we think Brandon will have his trip payed for. As for anyone who feels left out about the cookie sales, please don't. We did not try to sell many cookies this is Nicoles last year in scouts so who knows what will happen to the troop after this. The leader is currently in charge of two troops so this has been a bit challenging. She did inform the girls that they had plenty of money to do anything they wanted to without selling cookies so once again just didn't seem like there was a point in pushing the cookies. The cookie company had changed too so we are unsure of any changes other than the girls not getting much money from the sales. This past weekend we had the pleasure of having Kalista spend the night. It is always a joy having her over. The weather was a bit yucky, we had snow, ice and high winds. The typical Pa. winter weather. The end of January we went to the annual winter campers dinner at Hidden Valley. It was really nice we were able to meet the new owners of the campground. They seem really nice and sounds like it might be a nice change. Fresh blood is always the best and an open mind. This coming weekend we have off for a long President day break. Chris and I are having a pot and pan meal party, we have had them in the past and it is really nice. The gentleman (also Chris) comes and brings all the food and cooks for everyone a meal (usually chicken and meatloaf) no one leaves hungry. I must say my family has the pots and pans and we love it. I bought mine way before I was thinking of marriage so it is nice to update the proper ways to cook with them and the healthy ways. Well I guess this is all we have for now. I really hope to get some pictures on here too. I still have not been able to get the computer fixed and it has good days and bad days so we take advantage of the good ones. Hope everyone has a wonderful romantic Valentines Day!! Ours will be spent quietly at home with just the four of us. Chris will be delivering flowers for the local florist on Wed. and Thurs., you know the bussiest florist holiday.
