The kids are playing sports this spring. Nicole has been talking about playing field hockey and she signed up and has had one week of practice. The first night her back hurt from bending over then the next night her legs hurt. But she loves it. As for the sport I really don't know much about it, but plan to learn. Just like I had to learn how to mold the mouth pieces without (key word there) melting them. Her first scrimmage is next Saturday, we can't wait.
Then there is Brandon who has been trying to decide what to do as far as sports for the spring. He was going to play club soccer but that team fell through. So back to the drawing board. He has decided to play tennis. He had his first week of practice this past week too. He has his first match on Tuesday in Muncy. He came home with sore muscles in his arms and wrists after the practices, nothing like soccer! Now the most I know about Tennis is from the Wii, so we will be learning this sport also as we go. This is what we have been doing in our busy lives.
Oh yhea as for Grandma and her recovery, she still can't drive yet but is doing really well. We have therapy three times a week and the therapists are wonderful. She can bend it at a 100 degrees and we need to see if that can increase. She keeps plugging away.

Meet Miss Drayton, the newest member of the family.

Dottie (aka Hot Dot) and Drayton.
As you can guess the rest of Dads surprise was that Scott and his family showed up for the party, without him knowing it. Friday evening they arrived about 9pm after a 14 hour trip to walk into Mom and Dads living room. We were there since Scott and I had been texting back and forth. Mom knew but she took the grammy that night for acting so surprised. Dad got up and said "What is going on here". We were able to pacify him with an answer. Me personally, I was very excited to meet my niece, Drayton. They were very exhausted from the trip so there wasn't much time for Dad to think about it, it was make beds and head to bed. Then Saturday morning they planned to head to the mall. Not really they headed to the church to help get things ready. So really we got Dad twice that weekend. It was great for Scott and Meghan and the whole family to make the trip for a long weekend. It was so nice to have the whole family together. We did do a huge group picture at the church and with 12 people, half of them kids it turned out GREAT!!!

There has been a lot going on lately as you can see. We had been planning this party for some time and it all went off without a hitch. Dad was so surprised. Mom told him they were getting their pictures taken at the church for the directory at 1:30 but not really. We did get our picture done at the church for the directory the same day but much later in the day. Dad really enjoyed the party and seeing everyone. So now it is official he is retired!! We LOVE you Dad!!
