Let the Fun Begin
Well the soccer season has begun. Brandon has been practicing these past couple weeks. Today he went to a soccer camp at the fair grounds where a professional soccer player came in and taught them some moves. Needless to say he was tired and his legs were tired too. But he did have a really good time and learned lots. Sunday he starts his scrimmage games and the open season starts Sunday, April 6th. Nicole should start practice in the next week or two and then her season starts Saturday, April 26th. So if you need to get a hold of us you can find us at a soccer field. It's hard to believe school is almost over we are heading into the last 9 weeks. The camping season begins in two weeks. Brandon is going to Virginia in two weeks with the band for a long weekend. I guess we are well on our way to the summer fun.

Where is Spring???
Well the beautiful birds are back so we are hoping spring is right around the corner. This weeks weather has some snow showers in it and rain and the temps in the 40's. I guess we won't be seeing spring this week. We would be happy to just see green grass. We are getting antsy to head camping but I prefer warmer weather, we did go over on Sunday and rake leaves. The camp ground opens April 11th we won't be able to go that weekend but I am sure we will be there the next. Brandon will be heading to Va for his band trip the first weekend.

Easter Traditions
As tradition has it for the past three years we have been going to the Turnpaugh/Shaffer egg hunt in Mechanicsburg the Saturday before Easter. They always have a huge egg hunt for the kids and then a covered dish meal afterwards. This year Chris couldn't join us due to having to work but Mom and Dad and the kids and I went. We had a wonderful time as always. the difference this year was we actually helped hide the eggs in the snow. Yes, you read right it was snowing. It didn't stop the fun. We are definitely looking to Easter being a little later next year though. Here is a picture with the Easter bunny(aka Meghan) and the kids. Nicole was the Easter bunny's helper this year. For Easter day we went to sunrise services another tradition. We did break tradition and not go to Country Cupboard this year, actually Mom and Dad went to Good Will and we joined Chris family at Ungers Restaurant in Berwick. Chris sister was here for the holiday so we thought we would spend it with them. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!
Happy 50th Chris!!!

Fishing Creek has started to go down
Fernville Update
Here are some pictures I took this morning before work. The water didn't quite make it to the road, it did go over the lower road. Some where a rumor got out that the Fernville bridge was closing within 15min. Yes that was a rumor but they sent home from school all Fernville children. So since my children were sent home I came home with them. The water has started to go down, I think we are out of the dark. The river is to crest at 20 feet and flooding is 19feet. Once again the Fernville bridge looked like Knoebels, people parking all over to walk through and drive through Fernville. We even saw one guy coming across the bridge (walking) carrying his bag of popcorn. I will take some pictures and post them of the water going down too. Thanks for all the prayers!!!
