Busch Gardens

We went to Busch Gardens on Saturday. The first picture in the bottom row is of the wolves they have on display there. The next is the Bald Eagle display, and the final picture is one of the roller coasters there. Brandon spent the day at the park from open until close (10am to 10pm). We didn't get there until noon because................I had this bright idea to get free tickets to Busch Gardens but we had to sit through one of those time share presentations. They told me it would only take an hour and they provided a breakfast buffet. I thought WOW! what a great deal, a great price for the hotel and 2 free tickets. Well it wasn't so great after two hours into it and I was saying "NO" I don't want this time share. Well after saying no they send another person over and after telling him NO they send the third person. This woman sits down and I say, "If you think you are going to get me to buy this you are wrong so don't even try." well she didn't like that so she says she is the final step then I can go. You guessed it she tried to get us to buy, now I am really not happy. After Chris said NO we finally got out of there, yes with our tickets. We headed right for the park. It was packed. We payed the $10.00 parking fee instead of $20.00 which was the preferred parking fee. We ended up parking in Italy. We had a great day at the park and saw Brandon a couple of times (a relief for Mom). I got to ride the rides with Nicole, we had a good time. The park is really huge. We met Brandon at the bus at 1opm and took him with us. We headed to Aunt Janet's in Maryland to spend the night. We didn't get there until 2am, after following the map quest directions, we were on some unique roads (cow paths Chris would say). We were thankful for the comfy beds and the wonderful breakfast. Then it was on the road again. We headed on 70 east instead of 70 west so we had to back track. We got home and changed clothes and off we went to Higins for a soccer game. The best part was they won 5 to 4. No wonder we are tired, what a huge weekend!

Virginia Trip

Here are some pictures of the high school band getting ready to take the stage to compete in the concert setting. They traveled to Virginia (Williamsburg) on Friday, April 11th and competed that evening. The band took third place and the Jazz band took first place.

April as it flys by.......................

Well we had the opening soccer game today. Brandon played the Benton team and we WON, 3 - 0. What a nice victory to start the season off with. We only had 11 players so we had no subs, the kids played the whole game, they were tired until the end. We have a pretty busy month coming up, Tuesday the kids get their report cards and we are heading into the 4th and final marking period. Wow, where does the time go??????? Nicole starts her soccer practice this Tuesday and Thursday along with Brandon's practices. This weekend Brandon heads to Virginia with the band and Nicole, Chris and I will be heading down also. Nana and Pop would be gone too but they will be representing our family at the memorial service for our cousin Vol Phillips (Lydia's husband) in Philly. The camp ground opens up officially this weekend, we will be there the following weekend. Then it is Nicole's 12th birthday. Which brings us to the end of the month.
On a lighter note, my brother called today and said that Coleman was in the ER with a temp of 104, and asked for all to pray for her. The out come is she has pneumonia, they gave her an antibiotic and sent her home. Coleman had pneumonia last year about this time, I am sure they have caught it early enough that the antibiotic will take care of it. But I am asking that you please pray for my brother and his wife (Scott & Meghan) and the entire family. They have Coleman with pneumonia and two healthy energetic boys and Meghan is expecting their 4th child but on top of all that Meghan also has streph throat. I would say they have their plate FULL.
