Snow and More Snow

We have had snow, sleet and rain and now it is snowing again! These are those nice BIG flakes. Thought I would share our snow with everyone!!

Brandon and Nicole Cross Country Skiing

When Scott and I were at home we used to go cross country skiing on weekends as a family. Well since we did it so much Mom and Dad bought their own skis. The kids have been asking about cross country skiing, so Dad brought the stuff over today for them to try. Luckily the boots were the right sizes and they went across the street in the empty lot and had a good time. I guess we will have to make a trip to Crystal Lake sometime.

Well everyone is predicting a large snow fall tonight into tomorrow, guess we will see. They cancelled the basketball games for Sat. with the plans of the storm coming. On Sunday we head to Altoona for an indoor soccer tournament. The high school coach is taking only 10 boys and Brandon is one of them. We went last year when he was in 8th grade and it is an all day thing. Well watch for snow updates and pictures as we get the white fluffy stuff.

Back To School

Well this is the final moments of our long vacation. It is time to head back to school tomorrow. That means no more sleeping in, staying up late, staying in lounge pants all day and playing endless games of Wii. I think the kids are ready, I know Brandon is. Nicole says she would like to be off longer, oh well. I think it is time to get back into our routine. That means no more sleeping in, that is what Nicole will miss the most. With going back to school that means back to homework and after school activities. Brandon has a game tomorrow evening he is really enjoying basketball. I will post some more photos of his last game at Mt Carmel.

Brother and Sister up to no good!

As tradition has it since children the Davis family and us have been spending New Years Eve together at Dee's house since she was always the one with the most room. Before children we would spend it together but we would go out.This year we all went to the movies before heading out to the Davis household. This is the much safer way and we really enjoy ourselves, as you will see with this posting......... Here are the adults Dan, Dee, Craig (Dee's brother), Karen and Chris enjoying the last of the jello shots Dee made.

Chris and Dan playing guitar hero on the Wii. We all got a shot at it, some did better than others but we did all have fun!! I think this year we stayed up the longest it was 1:30am until we all headed to bed. We all had a great time and we had plenty of food. By the way Dee when is the next party to use up the leftovers?? We usually spend the night at Dee's and have a huge breakfast in the morning but this year we were also going to stay for lunch, but.................... It all started at 4am when Conner got up and was crying and heading to Nana's room. I tried to talk to him but he was on a mission so I opened their door and went back to bed. Surprise Nana (Dee) Conner got sick all over Dee. Then Dee said she started at 5am not feeling well and got sick. So come morning the smell of sauerkraut was bad enough for her. We got our stuff around and headed home so she could just lay down and relax, as for Conner he seemed fine. We had a great time once again, hope you feel better Dee! Thanks for everything! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! WELCOME 2009!!
