Christmas Golf Cart

At the camp ground they had a Christmas golf cart parade on Saturday, even Santa came. Here is a picture of Mr. Jeff's golf cart decorated for the parade. Jeff got sick on Friday evening and went home early on Saturday (should have called us to take him home), he allowed us to borrow his golf cart once again. Glad he made it home safely and is feeling better. I had to go yard saling to buy some Christmas decorations to decorate the cart, I wasn't prepared for that decorating. It is all tucked back in it's little garage filled up with gas, thanks Jeff. Merry Christmas in July!!!

The crazy week with the Kinney's
We had a wonderful visit with Scott, Meghan and the kids. It just never seems long enough though. They arrived on Monday (earlier than expected) and we just hung out around Mom and Dads, we did visit the BIG Columbia mall. Tuesday Scott went for an enjoyable massage and then we had a water battle (I think it was Scott's idea) then off to the Orangeville carnival and Pet and Toy parade. On Wednesday we went to Knoebels, it stormed so the kids only got to ride a few rides and we ALL got soaked and not from the squish ride either. Thank goodness we didn't have any cameras along that day. I do have more pictures to get off of my phone to add but not of the drowned rats. Wednesday evening we watched the kids while Scott and Meghan went to the movies to celebrate their anniversary. We enjoyed playing with the kids and going for a walk. Thursday morning it was off to the camper for the weekend, it was Christmas in July. We really enjoyed the fishing with the kids and just playing with them and the golf cart rides. On Friday evening we went to the Mifflinburg carnival and got to see Dave and Mary Lou. The kids got to enjoy riding the rides there, thanks to Mary Lou. On Saturday Vern and Nancy came to visit and Maxine was on her way home from the half way dam from a picnic and stopped to see everyone. On Sunday it was time to head home. Sunday evening Joan, Amber, Kalista and Hunter came to visit. Kalista had a ball playing with the boys. Then before the evening was over Dave and Colleen came to pick up Kalista and visited a while. Carol and Dick the neighbors came over to bring a huge supply of fresh picked tomatoes and visit with Scott and Meghan and the boys (Coleman was already in bed). We had a huge sleep over at Nana and Pops house so we would all be there to see them off in the morning. They left Monday morning about 6:30am, we all hated to see them go. Cooper did say he would be back the next day, we are still waiting. They arrived home safely about 8:00pm. I am sure they were glad to be back in their own house and own beds. Meghan and the boys had actually been gone since the 10th of July. I do have to add that Meghan does NOT look 6 months pregnant, but she is doing well. I was a beached whale at 6months, I am jealous. So that was our week in a nut shell.

List of Events..........
Nicole getting one of her awards.
Nicole at closing getting her award.
Here are the events we placed in: Chris and I took 3rd place in the golf cart drive, (the driver was blind folded (Chris) and the passenger told him where to go and you had to drive the bases of the ball field and then back up to the pitcher mound.), I also went with Jeff for this but we didn't place ( see Jeff's blog for these pictures). Brandon and Matt took 3rd place for pool crash ball, (one person in the pool in a tube (Brandon) and he has to get 3 balls to the person on the outside with the paddles, and the person on the outside catches the balls with 2 trash can lids and places them in a tube at the end of the pool.),Brandon took 2nd in the long jump, in the bean bag toss I took first and Brandon took 1st place too,in the football throw I took 3rd,Chris and a little boy named Gavin took 1st place in the paddle boat relay, in the balloon toss Frank & I were partners and we took 1st place, in the long distance run Nicole took 3rd place and Brandon took 2nd (Brandons age group had to run a little over a mile). In shuffleboard Jeri and I took 2nd place, in jump rope Brandon took 2nd and I took 3rd, in the tire roll Nicole took 1st place and I took 2nd and in the pool relay Brandon took 2nd place (you had to swim the length of the pool with a spoon in your mouth and a ball on the spoon). All events were broke down into age groups and many times it was girls against the girls and boys against boys. The kids did every event, I was really proud of them to at least try. Wow we didn't do to bad placing as a family. I will include more pictures, hope you enjoy. my Mom helped Eileen daily a lot with the events and by the end of each day she really looked tired.
